OVER A.M.C. Rugby
Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the Netherlands, and AMCRugby is proud to be involved in the rise of student clubs. Founded in 2012 as a club for medical students, we have since grown in number with members from all different studies. We pride ourselves in being inclusive not just in terms of academics, but also in our members as people. We boast an impressive team of players of all shapes, sizes, and abilities, and we love helping everyone work at improving their own personal best. We’re a very international team, with a mix of players from here in the Netherlands and all over the world. Our growing ladies team has seen great progression over the years, and we can’t wait for them to keep smashing it in the future.
While we are a student team, and not yet professionals, we still like to work hard and give it our all. Dynamic training sessions, team-focussed fitness challenges, and exciting matches all help to build a strong team that excels in rugby. Nothing can beat the feeling of winning a super tough game, and the only way to get there is to give it everything we’ve got. The work we put in is shown in the victories we achieve, and we like to reward our hard fought wins in the Third Half.
Not only do we know how to celebrate a win, but we like to have our fill of fun away from the pitch as well.
Our social events are infamous among the rugby crowd. Pub crawls, cantus’s, quiz nights, scavenger hunts, the list goes on! But the highlight has to be our trips abroad. There’s no better way to bond with your teammates than to go on a wild weekend away. But remember, what happens on trip stays on trip!

We train every Monday evening from 18:30 to 21:00, at Bok de Korverweg 6, 1067 HR.
